 "Love it!" 2009-07-25
By Tanya N. Miller (Utah)
I bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! The cotton candy is so light and fluffy. I have read several reviews that using sugar/kool aid is just as good as the cotton candy mix but I found that the sugar/kool aid didn't produce near as much as the mix, which with free shipping wasn't a bad price at all. One other thing to note, it doesn't work to pre-make the cotton candy, I tried that and after about 2 hours it turned into a hard brick.

 "dissapointment/ adjustment / wonderfull product" 2009-07-22

when i got this for christmas i was excited and when i tried it out it didn't work! it shot a ring of half melted suger around the rim and that was after running it for an hour. i checked out the reviews and it seems theres a well split mix half say it doesn't work the other love theirs. this got me thinking and i looked closely at my unit and it dawned on me, the elements get red hot but the spinner was really high over them. i made a adjustment to the shaft of the removable suger spinner with a hack saw...i cut the grove deeper so when it was attached it sat lower and closer to the heating elements. and volia it worked and it worked very well...about one good size cone every 3 mins... this thing is great and easy to clean!!!

things to point out: not for very large groups unless you buy more than one

when buying suger buy enought for what you need because they do go stale.

i suggest the refill kit made for this cones and suger in one place for a good price

 "Kids love Cotton Candy" 2009-07-14

This unit works great. It's very slow but in the end, you can actually spend time having fun with your children creating a treat they will love. Well worth every penny.

"what you would expect from a toy" 2009-06-30

Not good is all I can say. It worked the first time we used it and then went out and bought my floss and not it just gets to hot and melts it before it can turn into cotton candy. It takes me about 2 hours to make half a cone of candy. By the time it starts making cotton instead of spitting sugar or sticking to the sides you have run out of sugar and need to turn it off and put more in. This starts the cycle of wasting sugar over again. Really a disappointment and I would recommend just saving up of a better one.

 "Works ok.." 2009-06-27

Read the review and figured it would work ok...and that is what it does. Not the best but does the job. Takes about 15 minutes to make one of the cotton candy cones. Fun for the kids and yes this does make a mess as it spins the candy all over the place, just lay down a towl and problem solved. Fun for kids
